Virtual Learning Outcomes This structured virtual format promotes academic engagement, consistency, and comprehension while allowing flexibility for remote learners. The integration of lecture-based instruction, applied learning, and scheduled Q&A ensures students receive a comprehensive educational experience comparable to traditional in-person training.
Program Structure and Instructional Format (Virtual Learning)
The program is offered in a 6-week course format, allowing for varying levels of instructional depth and academic rigor based on program objectives. All instruction is delivered through a virtual learning environment, combining structured lessons, live lectures, and interactive discussion.
Class Sessions
Each class session is 1½ hours in length. The instructional time is structured as follows:
Weekly Lectures: Intro to Furniture Repair
In addition to scheduled class sessions, we offer lectures conducted once per week. Each lecture is 1½ hours in duration. Lectures focus on theoretical foundations, industry standards, best practices, safety principles, and an introduction on a few furniture repairs, including tools and supplies needed. The lectures are made up of a 2 part series: 2 - 1 1/2hr lectures.
Assessment and Certification
Student learning is evaluated through a structured assessment process designed to measure comprehension and skill mastery throughout the program.
Examinations are administered at the conclusion of each chapter, ensuring that students demonstrate understanding of the material before progressing to subsequent topics.
At the end of the program, students are required to complete a comprehensive final examination that assesses cumulative knowledge and application of concepts covered during the course.
Students who successfully pass all chapter examinations and the final exam will be awarded a Certificate of Graduation, signifying successful completion of the program and achievement of the required academic standards.
This assessment model supports academic accountability, reinforces learning objectives, and ensures that graduates meet the competency expectations of the program.
