They fix scratches, dents, cracks, loose joints, and broken components; touch up and color-match wood surfaces; and repair or replace upholstery materials such as foam, springs, webbing, vinyl, and fabric. Their work restores furniture to a safe, functional, and visually appealing condition in homes, hotels, offices, and commercial settings.
The virtual class
Virtual teaching for a furniture technician is the delivery of training furniture repair through our online platform using lessons, live video demonstrations, step-by-step guides, close-up camera views, and instructor feedback. It teaches skills such as wood repair, finish touch-ups, color matching, structural fixes, and upholstery repairs, allowing students to learn techniques, practice at home and receive guidance without attending in-person classes.
Our Program
A Wood and Upholstery Furniture Repair Program is a skills-based training program designed to teach students how to service, repair, and maintain furniture. The program covers wood repair, finish restoration, color matching, structural repairs, and upholstery techniques including fabric, vinyl, leather, padding, and frame support systems. Students learn through demonstrations, guided practice, and real-world repair scenarios, developing the practical skills needed to perform professional furniture repairs in residential, commercial, hospitality, and institutional settings.
